This Meetup brought together participants from a wide range of fields, including app developers, healthcare professionals, and startup CEOs seeking potential collaboration partners.

Participants exchanged information about their businesses, current initiatives, and the types of partnerships they were looking for, creating new connections across different industries and areas of expertise. After the event, some participants visited the Community Manager Desk to seek advice on their businesses and potential partners, showing how connections made through the Meetup can lead to further opportunities at TIB.

We were also joined by Oshima-san from Delatte, a TIB SHOP-selected company that provides the coffee beans served at the Meetup. He shared his perspective on the appeal and opportunities TIB has to offer.

The TIB Facility Tour has continued to attract strong interest in recent sessions, with 20 participants joining us this time.

During the tour, we received a number of specific questions about how participants could make use of TIB based on their own goals and interests. In addition to introducing TIB’s various programs and resources, the tour provided an opportunity to offer more personalized guidance on how each participant could engage with TIB.

By exploring the facility and learning more about what TIB has to offer, participants were able to discover new ways to make use of the facility and take part in its programs.

Approximately half of the participants at this session were visiting TIB for the first time. Some discovered the event through Instagram advertisements, while others became interested in TIB through TIB SANDBOX. Participants interested in pitch opportunities were also introduced to relevant TIB programs.

The event brought together participants from a diverse range of industries, including system development, nursing care, and food and beverage. Discussions covered practical business topics such as expanding sales channels and restaurant operations, with participants actively exchanging ideas and experiences.

The event also created new connections between first-time TIB visitors and other programs, including TIB SANDBOX.

August 26 (Wed) TIB SANDBOX 

We held the inaugural TIB SANDBOX, a new pitch event designed to create opportunities for emerging entrepreneurs.

Six companies took the stage, and the event received 24 advance registrations. On the day, attendance exceeded the number of advance registrations, with a diverse audience including aspiring entrepreneurs and applicants who had taken part in the screening process for the pitch.

The networking session following the pitches was equally lively, with participants continuing their conversations beyond the scheduled end time. The event provided not only the presenting entrepreneurs but also those considering their own next challenge with opportunities to make new connections and take their next steps forward.

August 27 (Thu) TIB Global Coffee Meetup 

This week’s TIB Global Coffee Meetup welcomed several entrepreneurs from Europe who are interested in Japan’s startup ecosystem.

Among participants based outside Japan, we are increasingly hearing that they attend the Meetup to connect with Japan’s startup community and build new networks. Meanwhile, participants based in Japan continue to cite opportunities for global communication and networking with international startups as key reasons for joining.

Once again, the Meetup generated active exchanges across nationalities and backgrounds, providing participants from Japan and overseas with opportunities to share insights and expand their networks.
