Tokyo Innovation Base (TIB) is an innovation platform that aims to be a global innovation hub, a “NODE” connecting the world. It serves as a place where entrepreneurs and supporters from Japan and abroad gather to create innovation. In addition to startups, major corporations, investors, government agencies, universities, and various other stakeholders utilize TIB as a networking hub.

The facility consists of networking areas, event spaces, PoC field for hardware startups, product display areas, and test marketing areas.

When visiting TIB, you are required to register as a member through the TIB app.

When you visit, you may enter and exit by scanning the QR code in the app at the entrance gate.

Use of the Tokyo Innovation Base facilities is free of charge. However, if you use the TIB FAB area, which is intended for purposes like hardware prototyping, additional fees may be required depending on the details of use.

TIB is open during the following hours:

Weekdays:10:00AM – 9:00PM
Weekends & Public Holidays:10:00AM – 5:00PM

TIB is closed during the New Year holidays from 28 Dec. to 3 Jan, as well as on days designated due to circumstances such as equipment inspections or natural disaster.

In principle, you may bringing in food and beverages, but limited to light meals (such as rice balls and sandwiches) and beverages that do not give off strong odors.

We may ask users to refrain from eating or drinking if food or drink may affect other users, the surrounding environment, or hygiene management.

Photography and video recording for purposes such as records of visits or tours are allowed throughout all floors.

However, please ensure that other users are not captured in your images.
The following types of photography are generally prohibited:

・Photography for use on corporate official websites or other promotional purposes.
・Photography for advertising, PR, interviews, or other commercial purposes.
・Photography of prototypes or products under development by TIB FAB members.

A wide variety of events, large and small, are held daily by domestic and international startups, major corporations, government agencies, and supporting organizations.

The TIB app features a function that displays members who have agreed to share their information, highlighting their characteristics and enabling users to connect with each other.

In addition, introductions can be made by community managers stationed at the desks on the 1st and 3rd floors may recommend individuals or organizations that match your interests.

Yes. TIB provides TOKYO FREE Wi-Fi (Open Roaming). Reception staff can guide you through the connection process.

Yes. Power outlets are available on the 2nd and 3rd floors.

No. TIB does not provide baggage storage services or lockers.

No, there are no vending machines inside the facility. However, there is a Cafe & Bar and the TIB SHOP on the 1st floor, where food and beverages are available.

Yes. Tokyo Innovation Base (TIB) is equipped with wheelchair-accessible restrooms and multipurpose restrooms.

Meeting rooms can be reserved at the 2nd-floor reception desk on the day of use. Advance reservations are not available.

・One reservation per group (2–4 people) per day.
・Maximum usage time of 2 hours.

Please note that meeting rooms may not be available during events or under certain circumstances.
After use, please return the room to its original condition for the next users.

Reservations can be made on the day of use by writing your name directly on the whiteboard located on the door of each phone booth.

・One reservation per person per day.
・Company, organization, or individual name must be clearly provided.
・Multiple or consecutive reservations are not permitted.

If a booth appears to have been left occupied for an extended period after the reserved time has elapsed, or if belongings have been left behind, please notify staff.

TIB event and seminar spaces are available only to organizations and companies registered as “”TIB Partners””.

Please note:

・Partner registration typically takes approximately 2–3 months.
・Applications to host events are not accepted until partner registration has been completed.
・Please allow sufficient time when planning your event.

In addition, the general-use spaces are intended primarily for networking and interaction among participants. Activities such as hosting publicly advertised events, study sessions, networking events, or any use that occupies a general-use space for a specific purpose are not permitted.

Yes. Community Managers are available at TIB to help connect members with appropriate support organizations, discuss business ideas, and facilitate networking among members.

No appointment is required. Please visit the Community Manager desks on the 1st or 3rd floor at your convenience.
TIB also regularly hosts networking events where users can connect with one another.

Yes. TIB hosts “”TIB JAM””, a community that supports growth through connections, encounters, and challenges among students and members of the startup ecosystem.

JAM holds networking events every Wednesday evening.

Yes. TIB offers “”TIB STUDIO””, a program designed to help startups validate their business models and prepare for fundraising with the support of experienced advisors.

Participants are matched with the most suitable supporters through a screening process based on their business content and needs, and receive support tailored to their stage of growth.

Yes. TIB hosts a pitch event called “”TIB PITCH”” approximately once a month.

Selected participants may have opportunities to conduct trial implementations of their services at TIB or showcase their products and services. On the day of the pitch, participants also receive feedback from judges and opportunities to connect with relevant stakeholders.

Yes. The ‘TOSBEC (Tokyo One-Stop Business Establishment Center)’ provides multilingual support as a one-stop consultation service for business establishment procedures in Tokyo.

In addition to assisting with company incorporation procedures (such as notarization, registration, taxation, and social insurance), TOSBEC also provides consultation services regarding residence status (visas), enabling multiple administrative procedures to be completed through a single point of contact.

Yes. The ‘BDCT(Business Development Center Tokyo)’ provides support services for companies considering establishing or expanding their business in Tokyo.

BDCT offers a wide range of assistance, including business matching, introductions to partners, sales channel development support, expert consultations on legal, tax, and human resources matters, and guidance on daily living in Japan. Companies that have already established operations in Tokyo can also receive support for further growth and expansion within the city.

Yes. Facility tours are available at any time.

Once you have completed TIB app membership registration, you are welcome to visit and tour the facility freely during business hours. No advance reservation is required.

In addition, Tokyo Innovation Base regularly hosts guided facility tours and networking events.
